Basement To Barstool (Part. 2)

When you grow up playing hockey, your whole life revolves around the idea that someday you will get to the NHL and it’ll all be worth it… and when the time comes that you realize you MIGHT not make the show, you have to start thinking.  Well this time came for me when I was getting scratched into oblivion in -10 degree weather during January in the Wisconsin winter.  So I took the logical next step of someone trying to be cool in 2011, started rapping and putting out music videos.  The rap game was not too good to me but luckily I ended up with some big time hits, some that even passed 1,000 views and got universal praise from my mom and grandmother alike.   I never once stressed about what I’d do walking across the graduation stage because that was for people that wouldn’t be super famous.  However, somehow I DID manage to squeeze graduation in without a world tour getting in the way.  That was about 2 years ago now.   When I got back to St. Louis I avoided office jobs like the plague and worked at a production company so I could better learn how to make music videos that would get me big.  Then I thought I found a flying ATM machine in the drone game but after getting like 4 projects in 6 months I realized it wasn’t really “taking off”, if you will.  If you’re picturing a struggling white rapper living in his parents basement trying to figure out how to make it big, then I probably don’t have to do any more describing.  I was so tired of not knowing where my next paycheck was coming from and wasting away in obscurity.   I had to pull off a come up before I ended up living in a trash can slinging pasta.
